Services

We offer bespoke services, research, and educational programs that help enterprises, teams, and communities design with the real lived experience (RLX) of health, illness, and human transformation.

All services are grounded in the principles of Design for RLX - our methodology that perceives health not as a fixed category, but as a relational, unfolding process of lived experience.

Real Lived Experience Research and Insight-1
Real Lived Experience Research and Insight

We conduct immersive, relational research grounded in real lived experience - not through surveys or surface metrics, but through field framing, narrative expression, and experiential perception.

Using our Experiential Perception tools and models, and the Ooex and Bergson.ai platforms, we surface:

  • The affective and relational conditions shaping people’s experiences with health, illness, care, and constraint
  • Invisible forces and tendencies that limit or sustain change
  • Emergent patterns of perception, practice, and becoming across groups, lifeworlds, and places

We work with:

  • Designers and researchers seeking deeper insight into a population or condition
  • Enterprises developing services or policies who want to start from the ground of lived reality
  • Communities articulating their own experience stories and needs.

Deliverables may include ecosystem maps, affect-pattern reports, transformation pathways, and real-world experience portraits.

Education and Practice Development-1
Relational Consulting

Our consulting is not about blueprints or stakeholder matrices. It’s about sensing the real conditions and relational logics that shape how systems operate - and helping teams respond with insight, care, and creativity.

We help:

  • Health and care organisations rethink services, design and innovation from the perspective of real lived experience
  • Public and philanthropic bodies shift from program-centric to experience-centric approaches
  • Leaders develop experiential awareness and perceptive capacities to guide transformation efforts.

Together, we explore:

  • What’s really happening - not what the dashboard says
  • What forces are structuring experience - and what’s possible to move
  • How to respond, not just plan.

All engagements are co-shaped with clients and communities and supported by experiential tools, visual models, and relational sensing.

Expressive Design
Expressive Design Projects

Design is not just solution-making - it’s a form of expression. Our expressive design projects begin from lived experience as it is felt, sensed, and becoming - not as it is reduced or diagnosed.

We collaborate with organisations, artists, and communities to explore:

  • The aesthetic and perceptual dimensions of chronic illness, disability, care, and constraint
  • The affective, spatial, and relational forces that shape people’s lives
  • New ways of expressing experience- through visual media, installation, digital tools, rituals, and relational forms

We design:

  • Diagrams of lived ecology
  • Storyworlds rooted in the virtual and the actual
  • Tools and spaces that let experience speak - without fixing it.

These projects are for organisations ready to think with feeling, and design not only for change - but for deeper perception of what’s already moving.

Co-Composition Labs
RLX Co-Composition Labs

Spaces to design new co-composing pathways through real lived experience

RLX Co-Composition Labs are immersive, relational environments for sensing, holding, and moving with experience in real time.
They do not begin with a problem to solve - but with a real lived experience field in motion: chronic pain, menopause, trauma, burnout, or any condition marked by ambiguity, intensity, or constraint.

Participants include those directly living with the experience - and those relationally entangled in it: carers, clinicians, designers, system actors, community members.

Together, they enter the field not to extract insights, but to co-compose new ways of being, perceiving, and relating - and to begin shaping shared, emergent pathways for care, innovation, or change.

These labs are grounded in:

  • Relational practices and RLX sensing tools (e.g. Ooex, Bergson.ai)
  • The 12 principles of Design for Real Lived Experience
  • A commitment to transformation without prescription
  • A belief that experience becomes legible through shared movement, not abstraction

Who are they for (examples)?

  • Health workers, carers, and GPs caught in systems of emotional fatigue
  • Designers seeking deeper resonance and attuned response in health and care
  • Anyone experiencing or supporting others through ambiguous, constrained, or transformative RLX fields

What it delivers:

RLX Co-Composition Labs are not designed to produce solutions -
but they do generate powerful, tangible forms of transformation:

  • New frameworks and relational tools for transformation
  • Co-created practices of care, rhythm, and recognition
  • Shared language and resonance across people whose experiences are co-shaped
  • Material, procedural, or perceptual interventions
  • Expanded awareness of shared constraints and new capacities
  • Tangible outputs (maps, rituals, lexicons, design movements) that reflect the real texture of the experience field
  • A new model for designing with transformation - not by fixing people, but by shifting what holds experience in place.

Each outcome is situated, emergent, and affectively grounded -shaped by the people and conditions in the RLX field, and never imposed from outside.

Speaking Writing and Thought Partnership
Education and Practice Development

We offer experiential education that helps people develop the capacity to perceive and design for real lived experience.

Our sessions go beyond training. They’re invitations to shift:

  • From user thinking to experiential perception
  • From outcomes to conditions
  • From systems to ecologies of experience

Available as:

  • Short masterclasses and intensives
  • Custom curriculum development for design, health, or architecture schools
  • Ongoing coaching and practice development for professionals, leaders, and teams
  • Live sessions using the Ooex and Bergson platforms

Themes include:

  • Introduction to Design for RLX
  • Experience Ecosystems and Lived Time
  • Designing for Chronic Conditions
  • Affective and Relational Design
  • Methods for Mapping and Responding to Experience
Relational Consulting-1
Speaking, Writing and Thought Partnership

We offer ideas that move people - not just to think differently, but to feel, act, and design differently.

Available for:

  • Keynotes and provocations at conferences or forums
  • Fireside chats or panels on design, health, experience, or systems
  • Collaborations on thought leadership, writing, and editorial projects
  • Strategic accompaniment for organisations on transformative journeys

We bring a relational, poetic, and rigorous voice to spaces seeking to shift how health and care are imagined and enacted.
